It has been a while since I've been to Egypt; I lived there for a while in 2008 and have visited many times before and since, but hadn't made a trip for over 7 years. Much of my diving these past few years has been around Mexico's Yucatan peninsula. This year we finally made a trip back to Egypt, the first time for my wife and the 5th for two of my long-term friends and dive buddies. Marsa (more specifically Port Ghalib) had been on our "to dive" list for not far off 10 years, partly due to the residence of the Red Sea dugong. It certainly didn't disappoint!
